Job purpose
The associate is responsible for sourcing candidates through various channels, planning interview and selection procedures and hosting or participating in career events.
Duties and Responsibilities
The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:
- Identify staffing needs based on approved recruitment plan.
- Update selection criteria for various positions.
- Attract suitable candidates through internal database, online employment forums and social media, etc.
- Help facilitate new recruitment initiatives, projects and strategies.
- Plan initial interview and selection procedures, including prescreening calls, assessments and in-person interviews.
- Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System and other screening techniques.
- Complete paperwork and documentation for new and existing employees.
- Collaborate with department managers to update job descriptions and interview questions to reflect each position’s requirements.
- Promote our reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
- Place internal and external job postings.
- Attend and coordinate external job events such as job fairs, networking events, and liaise with external stakeholders to fortify recruitment strategies and broaden candidate pools.
- Facilitate both internal and external recruitment processes.
- Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department.
- Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
- Ensure the full-cycle recruitment is managed in line with existing procedures.
- Assist in layoff processes in accordance with changing business needs.
- Conduct post-hire follow-up meetings with employees to assess and address concerns and training gaps.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.
- A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations
- BSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
